Heat pumps and solar systems

KTK14 Solar Tube Collector combines the technology of tube and flat plate collectors. Inside a sealed evacuated tube there is a flat plate copper absorber with a highly selective Tinox coating. The absorber is ultrasound-welded to a copper tube through which solar fluid flows. Vacuum is created directly in one glass tube that is closed at its upper end by a metal diaphragm sealed into the tube‘s glass.

The advantages of this solution are:

• Excellent properties of the Tinox coating combined with the vacuum insulation
• Increased permeability for solar radiation thanks to antireflective glass of the tubes
• Short direct heat transfer into the solar liquid
• A high power output on a small surface
• A two-pipe header for a high efficiency of even large collector arrays
