Combination thermal store with hot water heating in two stainless steel hot water heat exchangers. The tank is equipped with a solar heat exchanger, which allows the solar system to be used for domestic hot water heating and supplemental space heating. A heat pump, fireplace insert, gas or other boiler, or a combination thereof can be used as the primary heat source. A total of three electric heating elements can be installed in the tank: one for heating the house, a second for utilizing energy from a photovoltaic system in the lower part of the tank, and a third solely for domestic hot water production.
