About the implementation

An experimental self-sufficient house equipped with modern technologies utilising renewable energy sources has been built on the premises of the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Ostrava. The pavilion serves as the school’s teaching centre and also as a venue for specialist seminars on renewable energy sources for both professionals and the general public; it is also used by the Moravian-Silesian Region for training civil servants. Regulus supplied the technology for heating, cooling, hot water production and ventilation, based on the RTC 6i inverter heat pump, a solar thermal system with two KPG1 collectors, a combined storage tank HSK 390 PR with hot water preparation in a stainless steel DHW heat exchanger, specially designed for systems with heat pumps and PV installations, and a Sentinel Kinetic Advance heat recovery unit. The entire system is integrated into a smart energy management system and works in conjunction with a stand-alone photovoltaic power plant with battery storage.
