Heating elements with no thermostatic head are intended to be controlled by a heating system controller only, or possibly by a separate contactor, adjustable and safety thermostat.

Heating elements with a thermostatic head are intended to be controlled by the integrated adjustable thermostat. The head is also fitted with a safety thermostat, power cable and contactor that permits control also by Ripple control and by a heating system controller.

These heating elements are made either of nickel-plated copper for use in enamelled hot water storage tanks and thermal stores or of copper with no surface finish and longer non-heating end for use in DUO combination thermal stores or of stainless steel for hot water storage tanks and thermal stores in stainless steel.
