Mixing Valves

Mixing valves are used to mix two liquids of different temperatures in such a ratio that the specific required outlet temperature is achieved at the valve. Three-way valves mix from two inlets into a single outlet; by mixing, they thus reduce or increase the flow rate in the individual inlets. Typical applications for these valves include mixing heating water into heating circuits (underfloor, wall heating, radiators) or mixing the return flow from solid-fuel boilers to prevent low-temperature corrosion. Where it is necessary to ensure a constant, unrestricted flow rate even at the inlet to the mixing valve, it is necessary to use a  four-way mixing valve, which ensures mixing to the desired temperature while maintaining flow rates on both sides of the valve.
